Supreme Court order not to arrest the Deuba couple
Kathmandu. The government's attempt to arrest former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Arju Rana Deuba has failed for now. The joint bench of Justices Mahesh Sharma Paudel and Nityanand Pandey, while hearing the writ filed against the arrest warrant issued by the government, issued an interim order as per the demand of the petitioner. With this order of the court, the legal way to immediately arrest the Deuba couple, who are currently in Hong Kong, has been closed.
Earlier, even the international crime control organization Interpol had rejected the government's request to arrest them.
