Support price of paddy: price per quintal is 36 hundred and 60 rupees

Kathmandu. The government has taken a positive decision to fix the minimum support price of paddy for the next financial year before planting paddy. The cabinet meeting held on Monday approved the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment and decided this price, which was informed by the spokesperson of the government, Sasmit Pokharel.
According to this decision, the price of coarse paddy for the next financial year has been set at 3660 rupees per quintal, which is 197 rupees more than 3463 rupees in the current financial year. Similarly, the price of medium paddy has been increased by 232 rupees from the current year's 3628 rupees to 3860 rupees per quintal for the coming year.
Since the government has fixed the support price before the start of cultivation this time, it seems that it will greatly help the farmers to ensure the proper price of their produce and plan their farming.
