Kathmandu. Yarsagumba collection has started at various places in Mustang. Yarsagumba collection has started in the upper lake under Kunjo, Kowang and Tukuche conservation area management committee under Thasang rural municipality.
Yarsagumba is a herb found at an altitude of 3,000 to 6,000 meters including the sea. Yarsa is collected in more than half a dozen places of Waragung Mukti Kshetra, Gharpazhong and Thasang Rural Municipality here every year from April to mid-June. Locals of the district, people who have temporarily settled in the district and many people from outside the district come to the lake to collect yarsa.
