Kathmandu. Singer Bel Bahadur Pariyar, who has not left the path of folk music since the day he gave his voice for the first time on Radio Nepal, has released his new duet song 'Phool Khasigo, Maya Basigo'. The release ceremony held in Bardibas last Tuesday has once again exposed his continuous sadhana and struggle.

The music video of the song was jointly released by Sarada Devi Thapa, former Minister of State of Madhesh Province and Prahlad Kumar Chhetri, Mayor of Bardibas Municipality, in an event held at Gautam Hotel, Bardibas organized by National Folk and Dual Song Foundation Nepal, Mahottari. The audience in the program watched the video and gave an enthusiastic response to the artist.

The song, decorated with the voice of Pariyar and Pratima Aryal, has presented the feelings of love, separation and memory in simple words. Rajiv Shah has arranged, mixed and mastered the song, which is Pariyar's own creation in terms of words and music. In the video, Sanjib Thakuri and Sujata Bhattarai have brought the story to life. Directed by Milan Shrestha, the video has choreography by Rajaram Sinkhra and cinematography by Santosh Timalsina.

Addressing the program, Mayor Prahlad Kumar Chhetri said that such creations will play an important role in the preservation of folk culture. He expressed the opinion that Bardibas should be developed as a center of cultural identity by encouraging local artists.

Chief guest Sarada Devi Thapa described Pariyar's long musical journey as an inspiring example of a struggling artiste. She emphasized that society and the media should support artists who are constantly creating despite limited publicity and resources.

Speaking at the song release ceremony, singer Pariyar said that he has been able to stay in the music industry till date because of the love and trust of the audience.

He expressed his belief that his song 'Phool Khasigo, Maya Basigo' will win the hearts of the folk music lovers who have the popular program 'Panchamrut' of Omkar Television as a media partner.
