Samrat Chaudhary became the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar
Patna. Samrat Chaudhary has become the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar state of India. Chaudhary took oath as the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar on Wednesday morning. Vijay Chaudhary and Bijendra Yadav from JDU quota have also taken oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. Nitish Kumar was also present at the oath taking ceremony.
Due to its border with Nepal, there is interest about Bihar. Bharatiya Janata Party's Samrat Choudhary took oath after outgoing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar resigned from the post. Nitish Kumar, who became the Chief Minister from the NDA alliance, resigned from the Bihar Legislative Council MLC on March 30 and announced his candidacy as a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India. Chaudhary was the Deputy Chief Minister in his government. BJP is the largest party in the NDA alliance with 88 seats. 57-year-old Chaudhary was elected to the assembly from Tarapur.
