Request of Election Commission to give information based on official sources only

Kathmandu. Ram Prasad Bhandari, Acting Chief Election Commissioner of the Election Commission, has requested the media to use only official sources for news and information for the election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on the 21st of February.
In the program organized by Public Service Broadcasting Nepal on 'Representative Assembly Member Election 2082 Code of Conduct Orientation', Chief Commissioner Bhandari suggested to avoid spreading misleading news during the election.
He said that since the citizens are in need of very truthful news content, especially the media should play the role of following the code of conduct.
