Repairs on various sections of the road connecting Korla Naka are accelerated

Myagdi.  Repair work has been completed at different places of the Beni-Jomsom-Korla road of the Kaligandaki Corridor, which was blocked due to floods and landslides after the last monsoon disaster. The road section was blocked at 55 different places due to floods and landslides. After the rains from October 8 to 11, the flood in the Kaligandaki river has cut and destroyed 10 roads. 

Tejashwi Sharma, head of the Beni-Jomsom-Korla road project, informed that the initial repair work has been completed by Tuesday, except for the access road of the road bridge washed away by Kaligandaki and Raghuganga Rural Municipality-2 Kunauta in Pokhrebagar, Annapurna Rural Municipality of Myagdi.

"The road from Maldhunga to Kunouta, from Korla to Pokhrebgar road bridge has been repaired so that heavy vehicles can operate," she said, "The work of removing landslides and making new roads in Ratopani, Dhirchang, Bhirkate, Mahbhir, Tiplyang and Begkhola between Pokhrebgar and Kunouta has been completed."
