Kathmandu. The number of new voters has started to increase enthusiastically after the collection of voter list has started even using national identity card. In order to manage the pressure, the Commission, which has been registering the names in the relevant election office, has made it possible to use the national identity card to provide biographical details, photos and fingerprints.

Aiming at the election of the members of the House of Representatives scheduled for February 21, the commission has conducted voter list and update work. According to the spokesperson of the Commission, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, 80,456 new voters including 50,217 men, 30,235 women and four others have been added by using the national identity card till 9 pm on Friday. Along with this, after the announcement of the election, the number of registered voters has reached 281 thousand 129. The Commission has continued the registration of names on Saturday as well
