Kathmandu. With the decrease in the price of air fuel, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has reduced the minimum fare for domestic air passengers. After Nepal Oil Corporation reduced the price of aviation fuel by 6 rupees per liter from January 16th, its effect was seen in air fares. The authority has adjusted the fare after the price of fuel dropped from Rs 134 per liter to Rs 128 per litre.
According to the new fare, the fuel surcharge has been fixed at Rs 68.09 per seat per minute. On this basis, the minimum fare for mountain flights from Kathmandu has been reduced from 4,600 rupees to 4,390 rupees.
Similarly, the fare of Kathmandu-Bhadrapur flight has been reduced from Rs 4,250 to Rs 3,845, while the Kathmandu-Viratnagar flight has been fixed at Rs 3,750. For Dhangadhi, the farthest from Kathmandu, the fare has decreased by 265 rupees and now remains at 5,655 rupees.
