Rastra Bank will invest 1 billion 20 million in banks and financial institutions
Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank is going to invest Rs.1 billion 20 million in the Employee Protection Fund in banks and financial institutions. The Central Bank has published a notification and has requested the banks and financial institutions to submit an application within the 7th of Jan.
According to the information, an amount equivalent to Rs 96 crore is going to be invested in A category commercial bank, Rs 18 crore in B category development bank and Rs 6 crore in C category finance company. Banks and financial institutions must have been in operation for at least two years, the minimum total capital fund must be maintained, eight percent of the total loan amount and the net non-performing loan ratio must not exceed three percent.
