Kathmandu. The Kathmandu administration has informed that programs such as processions, demonstrations, strikes and gatherings cannot be held in the Tribhuvan International Airport area, which is considered highly sensitive, and has made it clear that action will be taken in case of such activities. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Ishwarraj Paudel said that this office has drawn serious attention to the statements and information and social media content issued by some groups and political parties that they will hold some demonstrations, gatherings and rallies at the Tribhuvan International Airport and nearby areas on February 1.
He also said that no one has informed this office or taken pre-approval for activities such as demonstrations, rallies, gatherings, if permission is required under the Local Administration Act, 2028. He issued a public notice and said that the code of conduct for the election has been implemented and it is prohibited to hold programs of this nature and there is a possibility of infiltration of such programs by anti-election groups.
