Professional dignity and self-respect are real democracy: Inspector General of Police Karki
Kathmandu. Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki has said that creating an environment where every citizen can be proud of their profession and business is real democracy. He said this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Women, Children and Senior Citizen Service Center and Police Housing Building in the premises of the District Police Office, Dhanusa.
Inspector General Karki emphasized that democracy should not only be limited to the utterance of words but should be embodied in action. He said that democracy is not just repeating the same words over and over again, but rather citizens feel pride in their deeds and professions. He said that shopkeepers, electricians, cooks, tailors, policemen or laborers should have self-respect in their work and society should appreciate their contribution.
