Private schools in the valley are closed due to the announcement of an educational strike by the People's Party Student Union
Kathmandu. People's Party Students' Union, Nepal has declared a valley-wide educational strike, and private schools will not have classes today. The schools have been issuing notices to the parents saying that the school has been closed. They have informed that the school has been closed for the safety of the school, the safe movement of students and the protection of the overall educational environment.
The umbrella organizations of private schools have not made a formal decision on whether to operate or close the school. Pabson and Npabson have asked the respective schools to decide. Their discussion on Sunday ended without a decision. Since then, neither the government nor the local level have said anything. Even though Education Minister Mahavir Pun has been giving opinions on various issues in the morning on social media, he has not reacted even when the schools in the valley are closed.
Minister Pun had written on Sunday only that it will be difficult to improve until the local parents unite and strongly protest and give a strong warning to remove the corruption, corruption and politicization in many schools across Nepal. He said on social media, "The constitution has given parents the full right to do that. He wrote that the Ministry of Education only gave instructions from Kathmandu and it was not enough.
It seems that his status has helped the striking student union. The union has demanded that Nepali students, workers and Nepali citizens living abroad should be guaranteed voting rights from this election, and private school fees should be reduced. Union president Sunita Budhathoki has called for the success of today's strike in a statement.
