Prior approval of the Board is mandatory before broadcast of advertisements, instructions to remove misleading content

Kathmandu. The Advertising Board has given strict instructions to the media and advertisers not to broadcast any audio, visual or audio-visual advertising material without testing and pre-approval from the Board.

The board has issued a public notice and said that it has taken serious notice of the fact that advertisements are being broadcasted through various media without taking prior approval contrary to legal norms. During the monitoring, the board clarified that it was found that the name, address and mandatory warning message of the advertiser were not included in some of the advertisements.
