Pradip Tamang is unanimously elected as the President of the Mushroom Farmers Association of Kathmandu

Kathmandu November, 27. The convention held today of the Mushroom Farmers Association of Nepal, Kathmandu District Committee has announced a new working committee. The committee has handed over responsibility to the new leadership to make mushroom production, technology development and market management effective in the district.

 

According to the decision of the convention, Pradip Tamang has been unanimously elected as the president of Kathmandu District Committee. Keeping the Kisan Maitri program and organization expansion as a priority, the committee has nominated KP Limbu as the vice president, Raj Khadka as the secretary, Mohan Magrati as the deputy secretary and Prakash Bogti as the treasurer.

 

Similarly, the members are Suman Thakuri, Girg Bahadur Tamang, Sangram Tamang, Robin Gautam. The committee has decided to nominate 2 women members. According to the committee, the new leadership will advance the action plan by prioritizing programs such as technology-friendly training for farmers, availability of quality seeds and compost, market coordination and increasing participation of young women.
