Petition to the Supreme Court demanding the postponement of the election program

Kathmandu. A writ has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding to stop the direct nomination papers scheduled to be held on January 6 for the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21. Advocate Kirtinath Sharma Paudel filed a writ on Tuesday, making the President's Office and the Prime Minister's Office the opposition.
In the writ, he has demanded that all the work of the election process be suspended from the registration of nomination papers of the candidates to the office of the Election Officer from 10 am to 5 pm on January 6th.
According to Sharma, the filing of the writ of postponement of the election program has been fixed for next January 6. Advocate Sharma informed that the petition was filed because the election schedule was made public in order to affect the petition filed earlier demanding the restoration of the House of Representatives.
