Petition registered in the Supreme Court against the suspension and location of Oli and others' passports
Kathmandu. A writ has been filed in the Supreme Court against the decision to suspend the passports of the then Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, the then Home Minister Ramesh Ulakar and others and prohibit them from going outside certain establishments. Advocate Dr. Premraj Silwal has registered a writ against the commission headed by Gauri Bahadur Karki and the Ministry of Home Affairs, which was formed to investigate the Gen (G incident) of the Prime Minister's Office.
The commission stopped the passports of Oli, the then home secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi, the then head of the National Investigation Commission Hutraj Thapa and the then CDO of Kathmandu Chabilal Rizal and set the location limit so that they could not leave the Kathmandu Valley.
Claiming that the decision of the Inquiry Commission is illegal as it is against the right to live with dignity, Silwal has sought an injunction to quash the decision and stop anyone from now on.
