Petition filed in the Supreme Court demanding the release of Vishnu Paudel
Kathmandu. Former Deputy Prime Minister and CPN-UML Vice President Bishnu Paudel has been illegally detained in the Supreme Court. In the petition, Paudel's wife is the petitioner, claiming that Paudel was arrested without any solid evidence and basis for political revenge, and an immediate release order has been demanded.
The Money Laundering Investigation Department arrested Paudel on the basis of his statement that he was "acquainted" with the share transaction between Deepak Bhatt and Kamalkishore Malpani Group. In this matter, the court extended the deadline for 5 days on Tuesday.
