Opening of Nagadhunga tunnel tomorrow, only emergency vehicles will be allowed to ply

Kathmandu. Nepal's first modern transport tunnel 'Nagadhunga-Sisnekhola Tunnel' will be formally inaugurated from Monday.

The total cost of this project, which was completed with the concessional loan of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the joint investment of the Government of Nepal, is about 19 billion rupees.

Director General of Road Department Dr. According to Vijay Jaisi, the length of the main tunnel is 2.68 km. However, if the evacuation tunnels and cross-passages inside the tunnel are counted, the total length of the tunnel reaches about 5.5 km.
