OPD service not possible on Sunday: Doctors Association

Main News Image

Kathmandu. The Nepal Medical Association said that the decision of the Ministry of Health and Population to operate OPD services on Sunday cannot be implemented immediately. In a statement issued by the union on Friday, it has been mentioned that OPD services are not possible to operate on public holidays due to lack of sufficient manpower in hospitals.

In addition to the regular 9:5 duty, doctors and health workers are working around the clock in on-call, rounds and emergency services, and the association believes that it is unfair not to count those hours.
