Now freight vehicles can ply on BP highway only at night

Main News Image

Kavrepalanchok. After the road was blocked due to landslides and floods in Prithvi Highway, the pressure of vehicles on BP Highway, which is being used as an alternative route, has increased tremendously. In order to manage the increasing pressure and to prevent possible traffic jams and accidents, District Administration Office Kavrepalanchok has implemented new rules for the operation of freight vehicles by implementing the Alopalo 9 Toknarpalo 0 system.

The District Security Committee meeting has decided to allow cargo vehicles to operate only at night, keeping in mind the capacity of the highway. Due to the narrow road, there is a risk in the operation of vehicles with a load of more than 10 tons, so a weight limit has also been set.
