New Year is the day to make common national goals and resolve to achieve them: President

Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel has said that the new year is a day for us to make a common national goal of the country and resolve to achieve it. Wishing happiness, peace, prosperity, good health and long life on the occasion of New Year 2083, he opined that goals cannot be achieved by themselves and determination and sadhana are necessary to achieve goals. He emphasized that in order to achieve the set goals, assimilation of laws and regulations is necessary as well as cultured behavior and conduct.

President Paudel mentioned that Samvats in the country are an important part of our history, civilization and life and said that it represents our civilization, social life and tradition and reminds us of Nepal's glorious past and inspires us to move forward towards an advanced future.

"We Nepalis have been taking the New Year as a special day to review the past and to make promises and resolutions for the future," he said, "It is our tradition to determine life goals on special festivals and days and be determined to fulfill them." President Paudel said that recently the election of members of the House of Representatives was successfully completed and the situation in the country has been resolved and a new government has been formed based on the new mandate of the people.
