New government pricing of land in Kathmandu Valley: Newroad, Darbarmarg and Maitighar areas are the most expensive

Kathmandu. The land administration offices under the Land Management and Records Department have published the minimum valuation of land across the country for the new financial year 2083 and 84, i.e. the government value. Based on the purpose of the land and access to the road, the customs offices have increased the price by a maximum of 10 percent compared to the last financial year and set new rates. 

The government price of land in the main administrative and commercial centers of Kathmandu is the highest. Maitighar, Sinhadarbar Paschimgate, Putlisadak, Krishna Pauroti, Hattisar, Jayanepal, Kantipath, Jamal, Darbarmarg, Kamaladi, Kesharmahal, Thamel, Kshetrapati, Hanumandhoka, Indrachok, Asan, Ratnapark, Old Bus Park and Shahid Gate area, the government price of the land connected to the main road has been set at 76 lakh 20 thousand rupees per anna. Last year, the value of this area was 72 lakh 60 thousand rupees per anna.
