In the second minute of the game, Samba scored a long cross from the defense line and gave Nepal the lead. In the second half as well, Samba performed decisively and added a goal through a free kick in the 63rd minute, which the Indian goalkeeper could not stop.

In the 81st minute, India's Karisma Sirvokar bounced the ball from Nirmala Devi's free kick and returned the goal. However, the goal was not enough for a tie and Nepal registered a 2-1 victory.

Once again Savitra was the hero in the win against India. She has scored 10 goals against India so far. Overall, Savitra has scored 68 goals for Nepal. In the first match, Nepal lost to Iran 3-0.
