Nepal prepares to present 9 agendas at COP-30

Kathmandu. As the date of COP-30, the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change approaches, Nepal has intensified its preparations. COP-30 will be held in Belem, Brazil from November 10th to November 21st and October 24th to November 5th. It is said that this conference will focus on the discussion of fossil fuel consumption displacement, forest, marine and biological diversity conservation enhancement, transformation of agriculture and food system, human nutrition and social development and technology, capacity building etc.

The Brazilian government has put forward a proposal for that. In the same way, Nepal has also started preparations to bring up the conclusions of the Everest Dialogue held in May last year, including the issue of mountain protection of Mount Everest, in the conference. The Ministry of Forestry and Environment has advanced the preparations for the conference by holding phased meetings with representatives of the concerned government, non-government, development partners and others.
