National Bakka Day is being celebrated today

Kathmandu. The Rajvanshi community and the tribal community living in the eastern Terai have been celebrating the 29th of January every year as National Bakka Day. This year too, Bakka Day is being celebrated with promotional programs at various places.

The tradition of eating bakka, which was earlier limited only to the Koch dynasty community, has recently become popular among other castes as well. After various communities began to prefer Bakka, the tradition of celebrating 29th of January as National Bakka Day was started for its recognition and protection.
