10 climbers with Nirmal Purja without contact in the avalanche
Kathmandu. A 10-member international climbing team led by world-renowned Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja has been lost in an avalanche on Pakistan's Broad Peak mountain range.
According to the BBC, an avalanche occurred on the 8,47-meter high Broad Peak located in the Karakoram Ice Range of Pakistan on Thursday around noon. Since then, no contact has been made with the team, according to Pakistani mountaineering officials.
