Mother dies due to son's beating in Bhaktapur, son who beat her was arrested
Kathmandu. A woman has died after being beaten up by her son in Bhatedhikur Chowk, Suryavinayak Municipality-9, Bhaktapur. According to the police, 40-year-old Meghia Chaudhary, resident of Bhatedhikur, Udaipur's Katari Municipality-5, died as a result of the beating.
Police said that his 24-year-old son Kiran Chaudhary beat Chaudhary at around 7:45 pm on Friday. Meghia, who was seriously injured in the beating, was taken to Suryavinayak Nagar Hospital for initial treatment. From there, she was taken to Patan Hospital via Veer Hospital for further treatment, and she died during treatment at around 11 o'clock on Friday night, the police said, quoting the doctor.
After the incident, the police detained the son of the deceased, Kiran Chaudhary. Police said that the cause of the incident is yet to be revealed and further investigation is underway.
