More than 4,000 criminals are roaming freely in the run-up to the election
Kathmandu. More than 4,000 criminals who escaped after the Genji movement are out of jail. The Election Commission has registered nominations from political parties for the February 21 election.
According to the information provided by the Prison Management Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday evening, there are still 4,000 criminals who are absconding from various prisons. The whereabouts of the 4,000 prisoners who absconded after the Genji movement have not yet been determined.
