Kathmandu. Indicating that the monsoon is gradually becoming active in the country, the Water and Weather Forecast Division has said that there will be heavy rains in most parts of the country on June 16 and 17. The division has issued a special weather bulletin this evening and said that there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Madhes, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and some places in the hilly and terai regions of the Far West region.

It is said that there is a possibility of moderate rain in many parts of the hilly and terai regions of the country and some places in the Himalayan regions. According to the department, due to the low pressure system developed in the Bay of Bengal, the flow of air containing water vapor will gradually increase towards Nepal, so there is a possibility that the monsoon will spread to the rest of the country.
