Monsoon effect across the country, heavy rain likely in five states

Kathmandu. At present, the influence of Monsoon air is still present in the whole country and the low pressure line of Monsoon is located in Sardar. Due to this, moderate rains are occurring in some places of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, few places of Bagmati and Karnali and one (two) places of Madhesh and Far West.

According to the Meteorological Department, it will be generally cloudy over the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places of the Himalayan region. Similarly, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning at many places in the hilly areas as well as some places in Terai of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and few places in Far West Terai.
