Monsoon continues to affect the country, heavy rain is likely in these five states today

Kathmandu. At present, the influence of Monsoon air continues across the country. Monsoon's low pressure line is located south of Sardar towards the eastern part of Nepal and around the Sardar place towards the western part. A few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini and Karnali provinces and a couple of places in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces are currently experiencing rain, according to the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division.
According to the division, there will be a general shift across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain with lightning in few places of hilly areas of the country along with some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and hilly and terai areas of Far West region. Similarly, there may be moderate rainfall in a few places in the hilly areas of Madhes and Karnali provinces. In the afternoon, there is a possibility of heavy rain in a couple of places in the hilly areas of the country, while there is also a possibility of windstorm in some places in the terai area of Madhes, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
