Kathmandu. Today is Monday, June 11, 2083. Dashami Tithi of Jeth Shukla Paksha. Accordingly, May 25, 2026. According to Hindu scriptures, Monday is the special day of Lord Shiva. On this day, the God of God, Mahadev Shiva is worshiped by fasting.
The Monday fast dedicated to Shiva begins with sunrise and ends with sunset. Food is eaten after the evening aarti. Shiva and Parvati are worshiped and worshiped during the day. But worship of Ganesha is mandatory before any worship. Fasting on Monday is believed to fulfill people's desires and aspirations. That is how knowledge is acquired. It is still customary for unmarried women to fast on Mondays to find a good husband.
