Ministry of Health instructions to keep OPD services open on Sundays as well

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population has instructed hospitals to operate OPD services even on public holidays on Sundays. The Ministry has asked the relevant agencies to make necessary arrangements saying that health services may be affected due to the two-day holiday. Issuing a statement in this regard, hospitals and health institutions have been asked to make special preparations to maintain service delivery.

According to the issued instructions, depending on the workload and the available manpower, OPD services will have to be conducted on Sundays as well. The ministry has also mentioned that the service employees should be given other days of leave or if it is not possible, they should be provided with leave instead.
