Minister Kulman Ghising leaves for India to attend International Solar Alliance meeting
Kathmandu. Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development Kulman Ghising has left for New Delhi, India to participate in the 8th General Assembly of the International Solar Alliance. He left for Delhi on Monday afternoon by the national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation.
This Mahasabha will be held in New Delhi from 10th to 13th October from 27th to 30th October 2025. In which energy ministers and representatives of more than 40 countries will participate. It is said that there will be a high-level discussion among the representatives of the member states on solar energy promotion, sustainable energy supply expansion, climate change mitigation initiatives and international cooperation opportunities.
On behalf of Nepal, Minister Ghising will make a special address in the assembly, the ministry said. Nepal is committed to expanding the use of solar energy for sustainable energy development and participated in this program with the aim of increasing access to clean energy through international cooperation.
