Meeting between Oli and Prachanda, discussion on alliance in elections
Kathmandu. As the country is heading for elections, discussions have started between the top leaders of major political parties. A meeting was held between UML President KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Communist Party CPN Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda on Sunday. A discussion took place between the two leaders in a house in Lalitpur. In that discussion, it is said that contemporary issues including the National Assembly election and the House of Representatives election announced on February 21 were discussed.
The National Assembly elections will be held on March 11. In this election, mainly three political parties Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Nepali Communist Party (NCP) are competing. After going to the election alone, the results did not come as expected, the parties are looking for cooperation.
Similarly, the parties have also started discussions on forming an alliance in the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21. The old parties who became defensive after the Genji movement are looking for an environment to go to the elections by forming alliances.
