Kathmandu. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Ajit Pawar passed away in a plane crash on Wednesday morning. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of India, a chartered flight from Mumbai to Baramati crashed at around 8:45 am, killing all five people on board along with the crew.

It is said that the chartered plane from Mumbai to Baramati crash-landed near the runway threshold of Baramati airport. A PSO, an attendant and two crew members were on board the plane along with Ajit Pawar in the accident. It is said that more details about the accident are yet to come.
