Madhyapahari highway blocked due to heavy snowfall

Kathmandu. Due to heavy snowfall in East Rukum, Madhyapahari Lokmarg has been blocked. Due to continuous snowfall since last night, the Lukum-Patihalna section in Bhume Rural Municipality 1 of Rukum East has been blocked.
District Police Office Rukum East informed that dozens of vehicles and passengers were stranded due to the blocking of the public road. Deputy Superintendent of Police Keshavraj Gyawali of District Police Office Rukum East informed that the night buses that left Kathmandu are now stuck in that section. According to him, 7 buses, 1 jeep and 5 motorcycles are stuck in Lukum-Patihalna area and more than 250 passengers are stranded.
