Lumbini govt leadership claims Congress, decision not to recall minister until agreement is reached
Butwal. The Nepali Congress Lumbini Province Parliamentary Party has submitted a claim with the position that they should get the leadership of the Lumbini Province government as per the prior agreement reached at the Centre. The parliamentary party meeting held in Butwal, Rupandehi demanded that the old agreement between the central government and the alliance should be implemented immediately.
While discussions are going on about the withdrawal of Nepali Congress ministers who are currently participating in the government regarding the change in the leadership of the state government, the Congress parliamentary party has rejected it and adopted a new strategy. The meeting made a clear decision not to call back its ministers who are currently in the government until it is ensured that the government will be led by their party.
According to a Congress minister who attended the meeting, this step has been taken to balance the power in the state and for the respectable presence of his party. The meeting also decided to specifically request the party center to take concrete and necessary initiatives for the implementation of the pre-understanding within the next three days.
