Let's throw away authoritarian and anti-democratic thinking like throwing lots: Bhishmaraj Angdembe

Kathmandu. Bhishmaraj Angdembe, the leader of the main opposition party Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party, has said that authoritarian thinking, anti-democratic tendencies, oppression, injustice and corruption should be removed from Nepali politics forever.

On the occasion of Sawane Sankranti and Sisekpa Tangnam celebrated by the Limbu community on Friday, he said, "Just as we bid farewell to diseases and inauspiciousness by throwing a lot on Sawane Sankranti, now we must bid farewell to anti-democratic tendencies, oppression, injustice, corruption and authoritarian thinking forever."

Angdembe claimed that the trend of autocratic government is increasing in the country and expressed his concern that there is interference on civil rights and there is a trend of suppressing the voice of the poor and vulnerable people.
