Khairide Humorous Essay Contest Award Presentation

Mediabaaji.com, Kathmandu, December.28 2025. For the promotion and development of Nepali comic literature, the 'Khairide Comedy Award' 2082, established by comedian Rajendra Karki, was organized and dedicated. 


On November 17, 2025, Banga Akshar called for essays for the comedy essay competition-2082 of Toki school level.

Based on the evaluation of essays received from students studying up to class 12 all over the country, the first, second and third place students will be handed over cash along with certificates.


First Kusum Ghimire (Kavre English Medium School, Panauti Kavre) was awarded with a certificate along with the first prize (cash Rs. 20,000) and the second prize was awarded to Simon Ghimire (Deerwalk Siphal School, Siphal Kathmandu) with a certificate (cash Rs. 10,000).


Similarly, Anushree Acharya (Deerwalk Sifal School, Sifal Kathmandu) and Vinita Pradhan (Siddeshwar Madhyamik Vidyalaya Danwa, Bhojpur) were awarded (cash Rs. 5/5 thousand). Vinita Pradhan's prize money and certificate of honor were requested to be handed over by organizing a program at the school, so it was informed that they have been sent to the respective schools. Comic books published by Fitkaili were also presented as gifts to the awarded students.


Narnath Luintel, editor-in-chief of Fitkaili.com and satirist Narnath Luintel, was the chief guest of the ceremony held under the chairmanship of Dilli Prasad Moolatihoon, president of Banga Akshar Nepal Branch, an active satirical organization in America. 


Other guests include professor Shyam Tamet, comedian Manej Gajurel and Suwaedh Gaitam, Dr. Tika Lamsal, Chandi Karki and others were there.

Dr. Tika Lamsal made a welcome speech highlighting the presence of Banga Akshar and the purpose of establishing the Khairide Award.

Before the presentation of the award, the critical comment prepared by Laxman Gamnange, the comedian and the chairman of Sisnupani Nepal and the coordinator of the composition evaluation committee, was read by Anil Poudel. In the program, Shyam Tamet and Chandi Karki congratulated and congratulated the awarded students and participating school families.


During the speech of the chief guest, comedian Narnath Luitel expressed his belief that Khairide Comedy Award will be an important link in the renaissance of Nepali comedy and expressed his special wishes to the Banga Akshar family and especially the founder of the award, Rajendra Karki, that it would be successful in instilling interest and motivation in writing humor in our young generation. 


Comedians Manoj Gajurel and Subodh Gautam made the audience laugh with the humorous performance in the program. Chakra Dawadi, Anita Koirala and Anil Poudel presented satirical poems while the essays of the awarded students were read by them.


Comedian and president of Sisnupani Nepal Lakshman Gamnange, poet and writer Dr. Rishi Bastakoti and humorist Gayatri Lamsal were awarded first, second and third prizes based on the evaluation done by the evaluation committee.


At the end of the program Dr. The color of Rishi Bastakoti's water - Kavita Sangrah was given to 12 students of Deerwalk Sifal as an incentive prize through chief guest Narnath Luintel. was Anil Poudel conducted the event, which had a significant participation of comedy lovers, while Fitkauli.com broadcasted it live from its Facebook page (fitkauli).
