KAMPA started 'Silver Volunteer Program'

Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City has started the 'Silver Volunteer Program' with the main objective of utilizing the knowledge, skills and abilities of experienced and mature citizens over 45 years of age for the development of the society and the city. Vivek Bastola, secretariat member of Kampa Urban Planning Commission, informed that this program was introduced to provide an opportunity to citizens who have gained long experience in various fields of Kampa to contribute to the development of society and the country even after retirement.

Vivek Bastola, secretariat member of the Planning Commission, says, "You have completed 45 years of work or retired from business, and if you want to contribute to the society after retirement, rather than rest, let's join hands in the development of the metropolis." Through the program, it is possible to work together with KAMPA in the fields of education, health, sanitation, environment, administration, urban development, heritage conservation, etc.

The metropolis called for applications according to the 'Kampa-Silver-Volunteer procedure'. As mentioned in the procedure, eligible citizens can apply through the online link.
