Jeep accident in Solukhumbu: 3 dead, 6 injured
Ramechhap. 3 people died and 6 people were injured in a jeep accident in Solukhumbu. According to District Police Office Solukhumbu, the accident occurred in Mapya Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-6 Bhirkuna on Thursday evening when the jeep of Wagmati Province 01-031 Ch 5924 fell down about 500 meters from the road. According to the police, three women died in the accident.
According to the police, the deceased are 16-year-old Habi Rai of Solukhumbu Mahakulung Rural Municipality-3, Chheskam, 20-year-old Shanti Rai of the same place and another woman whose name has not been disclosed. There were 11 people in the jeep. Among them, 6 people are injured and 2 people are safe. Among the injured are drivers Sridhwaj Rai, Ganga Rai, Bastikala Rai, Samya Rai, Sajna Rai and Umesh Rai. Among the injured, the condition of the driver is said to be serious.
Police said that the injured 16-year-old Samya Rai and 10-year-old Umesh Rai have been discharged after treatment, while others have been sent to District Hospital Phaplu for further treatment. DSP Manojit Kunwar of District Police Office Solukhumbu informed that the body of the deceased was sent to Mahakulung Basic Hospital, Bung.
