It is recommended that Oli be prosecuted for criminal offences

Kathmandu. The Gauri Bahadur Karki-led commission formed to investigate the incidents of August 23 and 24 has recommended that the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli be charged with a criminal offence. According to sources, in the investigation report submitted to the Prime Minister today, the then Prime Minister KP Oli is held responsible at the national level and recommended to take action. It has been recommended that the head of the then Kathmandu District Security Committee be held responsible at the district level.
If the government implements this report, the then Prime Minister Oli can be prosecuted with criminal charges. As there is a legal provision in most of the cases of fiazdari crimes, the accused is kept in custody for preliminary investigation and the case is proceeded with.
