Main News Image

Kathmandu. Before celebrating the two-week cease-fire agreement between the US and Iran, Israel launched a terrible air attack without any prior information on various densely populated commercial and residential areas, including Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

According to Lebanon's civil defense department, at least 254 people were killed and more than 1,165 people were injured in this attack on Wednesday. Lebanon's Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine has said that Israel has carried out more than 100 airstrikes across the country and this has brought the situation to a very dangerous level. He has also made an emergency appeal to international organizations to support the health sector in Lebanon.

The Israeli army called it the largest and most planned attack in the military campaign that began on March 2. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz claimed that these attacks were aimed at Hezbollah's military structures and command centers. He called it the biggest attack after the 'pager bomb' operation of 2024.
