Kathmandu. Former champions Chennai Super Kings maintained their unbeaten run in the Indian Premier League 9 IPL 2026 and registered their second consecutive victory. Tuesday night home ground MA. Chennai stunned Kolkata Knight Riders by 32 runs in a thrilling match at the Chidambaram Stadium.
After losing the strong batting toss of Chennai, Chennai was invited to bat first and lost 5 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs and made a challenging total of 192 runs. Middle-order batsman Sanju Samson contributed the most for Chennai with 48 runs. He hit 4 fours and 3 sixes in just 32 balls. Similarly, young opener Ayush Mhatre made an aggressive start and added 38 runs in 17 balls, while Dewald Brevis played an important innings of 41 runs. Although Karthik Tyagi took 2 wickets for Kolkata, he could not control Chennai's run rate.
