Kathmandu. International Youth Day is being celebrated in a grand manner across the country today by organizing various awareness and encouraging programs. The main theme for this year's International Youth Day is 'Different environment, common aspirations'. This day is celebrated with the main objective of highlighting the role and importance of youth in society and nation building. At the call of the United Nations, this day has been celebrated worldwide on August 12 every year since 2000.
The main goal of celebrating the International Youth Day is to conduct youth-centered debates and advocacy at the national and international levels, as well as to increase the active participation of the youth at the level of policy making and its implementation.
