Influence of West Wind: Snowfall in high mountains, fog in lowlands

Kathmandu. At present, due to the influence of western low pressure system in the country, it is generally cloudy in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and other hilly and mountainous areas. According to the Weather Forecast Division, there are partly cloudy skies in other parts of the country.
Thick fog is likely to occur in some places in the Terai today afternoon, while clouds are expected in the highlands and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Meteorologists have said that there may be light snowfall and rain in a few places in some high hills and Himalayan parts of that province.
It is seen that fog will affect people's life in some places of Terai tonight as well. Although there will be partly cloudy skies in the highlands of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki regions, the weather will remain mainly clear in the rest of the region. Even during the night, there is a possibility of light snowfall and rain in the high Himalayan parts of Koshi and Gandaki regions.
Due to increasing clouds and snowfall in the hilly areas, the temperature may drop, so it is seen that necessary precautions should be taken to avoid cold.
