Indian ban on tea export lifted

Biratnagar. The export of Nepali tea, which has been suspended for almost two months, has resumed from Tuesday due to the new standard 9SOP0 implemented by the Indian Tea Board in the name of testing the quality of Nepali tea.

According to Aditya Parajuli, President of Nepal Tea Growers Association, two trucks carrying Nepalese orthodox tea have reached the Indian Customs at Panitanki in India from Kankarvitta Customs on Tuesday. According to him, the Indian customs has sent the tea from Nepal after customs check.
