In Salyan and Surkhet, three people were killed by tiger attacks within a week

Kathmandu. Within a week, three people from Surkhet and Salyan have been killed in the Patebagh attack. 57-year-old Ganga Saru died after being attacked by a tiger in Gerwani area of ​​Bheriganga Municipality-5 of Surkhet on 23rd January. Dhansari Rawat of Kalimati rural municipality-7 of Salyan, which is bordered with the same area, died due to a tiger attack. 

Hem Bahadur KC, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Salyan, said that some areas of Kalimati in Salyan and Veriganga in Surkhet are connected to Banke and Bardia National Parks. Deputy Superintendent of Police KC informed that 65-year-old Chandra Bahadur Khaptadi of Kalimati-8, who had gone to grind flour in Ghatta on 29th of January, died after being attacked by a tiger. 

Ward president of Kalimati-7 Mitralal Rizal said that after the death of three people within a week, the residents around the park area are panicking. He mentioned that the tigers from Banke National Park were creating terror and the locals were panicking.
